Another one of the senior girls crossed the river to Rotterdam for the EBPA Tour Schiedam Senior Open which ran from 31st July to 3rd August.

After the qualifying round Jenny Fisher was in third place with a total of 1643, the top twelve made the semi finals and this included the only other girl from the UK, Jan Hodge, who finished in fifth place, the semi final they rolled another four games of which the top eight would make the final. Jenny held onto her third place but lost some ground to the leader, Jan dropped a place to sixth.

In the seven game Round Robin Final Jen won two of her matches and finished in seventh place, Jan managed to climb to third place.

In search of more Team England ranking points the Senior girls went to the Midlands, Bushbury in fact for the Senior Singles on Saturday/Sunday 2nd/3rd August.

At the end of round one Tricia Outrim was in second place with a grand total of 1218, and Jackie Atkinson in sixth place with total of 1161, round two and Tricia finished in fifth place with Jackie making the sixth and last qualifying place for the round robin final.

In the round robin final Jackie won two of her matches and made fifth place, Tricia did not win any matches and finished in sixth place.

As to the Team England ranking points Tricia is in second place with 317 points and Jackie 269 points in eighth place.

The girls travelled east to Basildon on Sunday 20th July in search of Team England ranking points in the 2nd Tuborg Essex Senior Open.

After the normal six game qualifying round the present champion Tricia Outrim was sitting in fourth place with a bonus total of 1171 and Jackie Atkinson on her tail with 1150, a 825 scratch total in round two enabled Tricia to take over the top spot by one point from Jan Hodge, but Jackie did not fare so well but held onto fifth place and made the round robin final.

The round robin final consisted of five games and of which Tricia won three of them but Jan won four of her games and won the title from Tricia, Jackie won only one game and finished in sixth place.

In the Team England Rankings Tricia has 268 points, which is third place and Jackie has 226 points in ninth place with four of the 2008 events left to play.

The final of the Under 16 Inter County Championships was held at Lakeside Superbowl, Nuneaton, on Saturday/Sunday 5th/5th July, only the Berkshire Boys qualified for the final.

Another away day for the Ladies, this time it was the Barnsley Senior Singles on Saturday/Sunday, 14th/15th June.

The six game qualifier saw Jackie Atkinson take the lead by three pins with a total score of 1251 and Tricia Outrim was in fifth place with a score of 1200, round two and after four more games Jackie was still on top with 2101 and Tricia has made up one place to sit in fourth spot, three pins short of the third place on 2027.

The top six qualified for the Round Robin Final, Jackie only won one of her matches and finished in fifth place, Tricia won two matches and move up to third place, as this was a Team England Ranking tournament the ladies earned ranking points, after this tournament Tricia is lying in fourth place and Jackie in eleventh in the Senior Team England rankings table

Senior Inter Counties 2008 qualifying round for the South Group was held at Lakeside Superbowl, Newbury, over the weekend June7th/8th, the top five teams qualified for the final in October, Berkshire entered a Mens and Ladies team.

Three young Ladies. Jackie Atkinson, Tricia Outrim, and Jacqui Cooper, took the sea air when they entered the AMF Senior Singles at Worthing on Saturday 31st May/Sunday 1st June.

At the end of the six game Round One qualifier and including bonus Jackie was leading with 1285, with the other Jacqui in third place on 1209, and Tricia holding fifth spot 1183, another four games in Round Two and Jackie held onto number one with 2102, Jacqui moved up to second place with 2046, also climbing was Tricia who manged to squeezed into the third spot by three points.2000.

The six game Round Robin and Jackie Atkinson started of well by winning the first three matches, lost the fourth but came back to take the fifth match and so won the tournament, Jacqui Cooper lost the first match but won the next two. lost the fourth but won the fifth to hold onto second place, Tricia Outrim did not fare so well and lost the first four matches, won the fifth and finished in fourth place.

In the King of the Hill at Big Apple, Wokingham, on Monday 25th May, young Karen Fears tried to make a clean sweep by winning the tournament ahead of Derek Crisp, who put in a late challenge, and also making it to the finals of the Brackets, Karen lost Bracket 1 to Steve Rollings by one pin but won Bracket 2 by defeating Matt Norriss.

British Senior Open was held at Lincoln Bowl on Saturday/Sunday 17th/18th May.
Jackie Atkinson and Tricia Outrim took part, Tricia was in fourth place with a total of 1223 over the six games in round one, Jackie was in eigth spot on 1171, round two and four more games saw Tricia drop to six place on 1955 making the last spot for the Round Robin Final, Jackie also dropped a place to finish ninth with 1915.

Tricia won three of her matches in the five game final but did not gain enough pinfall to move up the table so finished in sixth place.

Berkshire Senior Ladies had a good weekend at the AMF Seniors Bowlers Club Singles held at Gravesend on Saturday/Sunday, 12th/13th April.

Round One and after six games Jackie Atkinson was leading with a score 1168 with Tricia Outrim close behind on 1165, Jacqui Cooper in eighth place, 1017, and Sheila Riley tenth, 971, Round Two and four more games the girls are still there but Tricia has taken over the lead with 1964, Jackie now second on 1883, Jacqui still in eighth place, and Sheila in tenth spot.

The top six qualified for the Round Robin Final, in the final Tricia won two of her five games finishing with 2899, Jackie won four of her games and took the top spot on 3023, so a first and second for the Ladies

On Saturday 1st March there was a qualifying round for the U18 Inter Counties Final, the Southern Round was held Lakeside Superbowl,Newbury, Berkshire entered a Boys and Girls team, the Boys qualified in second place to Hampshire who they put under pressure thoughout the day, the Girls failed to qualify finishing in 7th place.

AMF Leeds held the first 2008 AMF Senior Bowlers Club tournament on 12th/13th January.
Tricia Outrim was in ninth place after round one with a total of 1107, after the four games in round two Tricia had a total of 1911 and moved up to sixth place and qualified for the Round Robin Final.

Tricia won three of the five games in the final and finished in fifth place and gained 22 points and fourth spot in the Bowlers Club Masters table

There was a King of the Hill on New Years day at the Big Apple, Wokingham.

Alison Feast topped the qualifying round but lost out to Matthew Norriss in the play off who went on the win in the final game against his dad, Steve.
